Last week we rounded up our Tenth Standard topic of “Light” by looking at how eyes work…. and we couldn’t resist doing an eye dissection. In this lesson, we worked through sixteen steps to dissect goat eyes, and got to see and touch the iris, lens, beautiful retina, and other structures. The girls provided the goat eyes, and we had so many that each girl was able to dissect her own goat eye (if she wanted to).

I’m so proud of how the girls got over the squeamishness that we all felt at the beginning, and were able to dissect the eyes carefully and calmly, and learn a lot in the process!
